Coronavirus: BDF provides PPE for journos
BDF hands over 45 PPEs along with other protective gear to Bangladesh Health Reporters' Forum (BHRF)
The Bangladesh Doctors' Foundation (BDF) has handed over personal protective equipment (PPE) to journalists who have been working amid the coronavirus pandemic situation.
BDF Chairman Dr Md Shahed Rafi Pavel handed over 45 PPEs along with other protective gear to Bangladesh Health Reporters' Forum (BHRF) leader Mynul Hasan Sohel at the foundation's office in Dhaka on Monday.
BDF Chief Administrator Dr Nirupom Das were present at the handover program.
As of Monday, Bangladesh has so far confirmed five deaths and 49 infections from Covid-19, a new strain of coronavirus.
The fast spreading coronavirus, which was first reported in China's Wuhan, has infected 739,385 people and claimed 35,019 lives till 7:55pm on Monday, according to Worldometer.
Globally, a total of 156,588 infected people have also recovered from Covid-19, a pandemic declared by the World Health Organization (WHO).
