Those of us who live in cities may have heard of the flood situation in the country but can't realize its enormity. The houses have been submerged in the floods, crops have been damaged, there is a shortage of drinking water. For them, the joy of Eid is like a luxury.
Bangladesh, is a country where the majorities are Muslims. But, in the current situation they are being deprived of the joy for their religious festival Eid-ul-Adha. Eid-ul-Adha also known as Eid of Sacrifice which is the second of two Muslim holidays celebrated worldwide each year. To share this joy on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, Bangladesh Doctors' Foundation has sacrificed 16 cows and 12 goats in 22 districts and distributed the meat across the country on 1st August and 2nd August. This distribution is done through BANGLADESH DOCTORS’ FOUNDATION and BDF-STUDENTS. The whole work is being done with the help of doctors' grants , volunteerism and time. The local people of each area are cooperating with labor and time.
Total sacrificed Cows were 16. Total sacrificed goats were 12, had been sacrificed in 6 districts. The places where the cows and goats had been sacrificed are -

3. Manda, Naogaon.
4. Nageshwari Upazila,Kurigram
5. Durgapur, Rajshahi
6. Hargacha, Rangpur

8. Asashuni, Satkhira
9. Atrai, Naogaon.
10. Gobindganj, Gaibandha
11. Shibchar, Madaripur
12. Sujanagar, Pabna
13. Dimla, Nilphamari
14. Vola
15. Itna, Kishoreganj
16. Jajia, Shariatpur
16. Singra , Natore
